She has over 13 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient medicine, and in leadership. She studied in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Robert Morris University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2010, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a Master of Science in Nursing degree as Family Nurse Practitioner in 2014. Over the last decade she has practiced in various settings to achieve a dynamic and well rounded skill set. These settings include: primary care, skilled nursing and rehab facilities, and both community and academic hospitals, including practice in cardiothoracic and neurovascular intensive care. In the last several years, she spent most of her time practicing hospitalist medicine while also serving as the Chief Practitioner of the Department of Medicine at a large academic quaternary care center. Dr. Poston truly values caring for and connecting with patients where they are. She genuinely believes mental and physical wellness is the foundation for a good life.
